Clayton Hawks from Boston has come to Powder Springs Wyoming to settle some rustling problems on the Lazy B Ranch owned by his father Sam Hawks. What Clay finds is a lot worse than he had been led to expect: mismanagement corruption and out-and-out lawlessness. He must stop the rustling if the ranch is to survive but he is determined to do it his way - which could get him killed if his enemies have anything to say about it.
