Words Their Way: Word Study in Action with Spanish Learners 2013 (Palabras A Su Paso) is a developmental model of Spanish Literacy from the authors of the Words Their Way series. This k-5 program builds and expands on phonics, vocabulary, and spelling skills, giving students a solid foundation to master the Spanish language. It offers a hands-on approach to word study that parallels the Words Their Way: Word Study in Action program but is based on Spanish orthographic principles. Palabras a su Paso: El Estudio de Palabras en AcciOn includes the following components: GuIa del maestro (Teacher Resource Guide, all levels) A Comprehensive Guide covering all 5 stages of development with research, overview and implementation guidance and assessments Gran libro de rimas (Big Book of Rhymes, Levels 1-3) Big Books are available at the Emergent-Early Letter Name, Letter Name, and Within Word Pattern stages with poems reflecting the skill in each sort - used to introduce the sort.
