Sam and Barbara's divorce was amicable and they remain on good terms, bound together by their three children and the memories of many years' marriage. Sam marries Frankie, a bright, sexy banker, but when she becomes pregnant and wants to give up her career, Sam's feelings are ambivalent. He hadn't bargained on a second family.
