Includes case studies, results of a questionnaire of over 60 typists on all aspects of training and personal and career effects. Many contentious issues are discussed and solutions suggested to provide equity for these workers. Includes an annotated bibliography, a list of abbreviations and a list of references. The author is a word processing supervisor in the public service, with office experience in six countries. She gained a Masters degree in Women's Studies at the University of New South Wales in 1988.
