Legends
by Susan Simonson
We can change the future, but can we change the past? The candidates to be frozen and awakened ten thousand years in the future were paid nicely. No family to care, no obligations to leave behind, nothing to stay for. Patricia was placed in charge of chemical disposition for the project and had the daunting task of selecting human beings for the project led by Dresden, the man she loved to hate and hated to love. Relationships ebb and flow, and somehow we are still surprised at the connections, as on the day that Dresden pulled a young child from an auto accident. Patricia would fight the ghosts and literal vampires from that day on.David and Miranda shared a sordid past too, from the days of witch trials and superstition. He followed her into the Gulf of Mexico where the time portal awaited. Coming to reality in another world and another time, they face the future, which has come to face them. Life is far from understood. David, Miranda, Patricia and Dresden find the changes that they enact to be the beginning of the new world.
