Gibraltar Passage (Rendezvous with Destiny #2)
by T. Davis Bunn
From Library Journal When Pierre Servais learns from a refugee that his twin brother, Patrique, might be alive, a search begins that leads Pierre and his friend Jake Burnes from France through Gibraltar to Morocco. Patrique, a leader in the French Resistance, had been presumed dead for some time, the result of an enemy ambush. During the quest to find his brother, Pierre once again encounters the beautiful Jasmyn, his former lover, who betrayed him with a Nazi officer, but now she appears to have information on Patrique's whereabouts. Although full of intrigue and adventure, this tale, book two in "The Destiny" series, relies heavily on the predictable and clich?d, along with an intrusive Christian message. Its appeal will be to those wanting a superficial, fast-moving story with few surprises and little subtlety. Ron Varela reads with conviction, breathing life and believability into the characters. Despite excellent audio quality, this program is a marginal purchase.ANancy R. Ives, SUNY at Geneseo Copyright 2000 Reed Business Information, Inc.
